The Great Create

The brainchild of local artist Emma Carter, The Great Create Festival of the Arts, now in it's third year, is one of the area's true public celebrations of the artistic talent hidden within Devon. Having realised that there was an urgent requirement for the multitudes of talented people to be able to express themselves to the public and their peers alike, The Great Create was founded with one specific goal in mind: To give exceptional emerging and established artists of all genres a showcase to celebrate and promote their creativity. With the help and support of local people and organisations The Great Create was a huge success, leading to a Torbay Artsbase award for 'Creative Event of the Year' in 2008. A true celebration of the arts, last year's Festival was an inspiration to all that attended and partook and as such it has now become an annual event, with The National Trust (Greenway) once again the chosen venue.

This year, Agatha Christie’s House set in the glorious National Trust estate in Galmpton, Devon, will be open to the public for the first time and estimated audience figures are expected to be high.
