Ann Hume

I was born in Glasgow and brought up in a town nearby. I studied Drawing and Painting at Glasgow School of Art. Since then the value of drawing when developing design ideas has remained with me.

My ideas initially come from drawing man made and natural objects and developing these drawings into a design for a piece of jewellery. I also develop my ideas by making some small components and playing around with them until I get the design I like. Usually I make several pieces, rings, necklaces, brooches etc. based on the same design idea. I now live and work in South Devon.
